Admission / Academic Matters
Attendance below 80% of the total working days of a semester will
not be allowed to appear in the semester-end evaluation. Continuously
irregular attendance for 20 days will be treated as absent and will not
be allowed to attend in future classes and other activities.
If any teacher learner fails in any subject in any semester he
or she has to appear in all subjects again in the next semester end
evaluation. There will be no chance for giving back in any subject.
Unsuccessful trainees of any semester will be given only TWO more
chances to clear the concerned semester by appearing together with
the next semester-end evaluation. The unsuccessful trainees of the
last semester will also be given only one more chance to appear in
evaluation as private candidate subject to compulsory attendance in
practice teaching classes and on payment of prescribed examination fee
and other fee if any to be determined by the State Board of Teacher
Education, Assam in due course of time.
If any candidate could not appear in any semester end evaluation on
medical ground , he/she will get chance to appear in the semester in
the next chance as stated above, but he/she should submit all internal
activities during the stipulated time.
Candidates who are availing any type of long leave he/she will not
be allowed to appear in term end evaluation. They are to attend the
regular classes for the same semester in the next session.
The SBTE or Directorate of SCERT, Assam will conduct the 2nd and 4th
Semester Exam. The 1st and 3rd Semester is to be conducted by the TEIs
themselves and keep records for future references.
